SPICE! Restaurant Mini Review: Volterra Italian Restaurant
Two friends and I recently stopped into Volterra Italian Restaurant on Soi Yensabai Mansion in South Pattaya down from the Yensabai Condotel. If you’re a lover of authentic Italian cuisine, this is the real deal! Owner/Chef Michele Magni personally prepares all of the dishes where most of the ingredients are imported from Italy. The ala carte menu offers a large variety of meat, fish, pasta and pizzas plus several set menus.
I opted for the salad, wine and pasta dinner which comes with a choice of your pasta and ten sauces. I had Spaghetti Bolognaise and was very pleased. Prepared in the authentic way the sauce was mostly ground beef with some tomato and hint of various spices. My friend had a set dinner including garlicky bruchetta (sublime), lasagna and ice cream. The lasagna was tender and tasty. Our other companion chose a spicy salami pizza and raved that it was the best pizza in Pattaya. All of our dinners were in the neighborhood of 200 baht. For a great Italian meal that won’t bust the budget try Volterra Italian Restaurant near Sunee Plaza. Email: ristorantevolterra@hotmail.it
