Pattaya Pride Dinner at Brunos
The First Charity Dinner under the new name change of Pattaya Pride was held at Bruno’s Restaurant by Chateau Dale on Thappraya Road in Jomtien on January 10th since the Pattaya Gay Festival (PGF) changed its name from its beginning in 2001. Chef Fredi did his usual magic and all the guests enjoyed his gastronomical multi-course creations again this year.
Jim Lumsden, local businessman and founder of the PGF and MC of this event said it was one of the best dinners they have had in awhile. The event was also a birthday celebration of Dame Ruby who has been a grand PGF supporter for many years.
A total of 98 diners raised more than 280,000 which included 50,000 from Dame Ruby, 25,000 from Neal Bernard, the raffle raised 113,000 Baht with various other small donations to make a good event for the charity which mainly raises funds for Dr. Philippe Seurs’ Heartt2000 clinic for HIV/AIDS assistance since 2001. This Pattaya Pride (PP) year starts in January and concludes around 01 Dec. (World Aids Day) with many events organized by PP santioned events including dinners at top restaurants, sports activities, entertainment evenings at various bars, fun competitions and street/beach parties. Founding members who have been sponsors every year include Bruno’s Restaurant, Ambiance Hotel, Amor Restaurant, Boyz Boyz Boyz Night Club, Copa Showbar, Honest Gems Jewelry, Mata Hari Restaurant, Panorama Pub, Tarntawan Place Hotel, SPICE! Magazine, etc. Among the many supporters of the Pattaya Pride charity event at Bruno’s Restaurant were VIP guests including Khun Chanyut Hengtrakul, who is a former member of Chonburi Paliament, and his family and the Managing Director of Pattaya Times Newspaper Drew Noyes and his wife Wanrapa Boonsu.
