“STRAIGHT” GUY DISCOVERS SOI TWILIGHT - Issue # 38 - Thailand - Travel - Soi Twilight - Bangkok

This is the fourth in my series about first time experiences in the Land of Smiles. If you have a story to tell about your first time in Thailand, please email: editor@spicemag.net. I would love to interview you. For this installment, I interview :”Earl.”

“Earl” lived and worked in the Midwest of the USA for most of his life. Divorced and unattached, he decided to accept a job abroad, in Micronesia, for an American company. Earl considered himself to be “straight” and was quite the “ladies’ man” in his day. On his first trip to Bangkok, he visited friends who took him sightseeing. Although he had a wonderful time, he was frustrated that he didn’t have the opportunity to explore more of Bangkok’s seamier side. A year later, Earl returned to the Land of Smiles on a package tour and found himself staying at a rundown hotel on Sukhumvit Road. He had read, on the Internet, that the Patpong area was the place to go to find willing ladies. After the taxi dropped him off on Suriwong Road, Earl walked around for awhile, trying to avoid all the touts and getting used to the sounds, smells, crowds, and visual stimulation that defined Patpong. Once he overcame the sensory overload, Earl found himself at the Honey Bar, which was located on a small soi between Suriwong and Silom Roads. In due course, he met a lovely lady who persuaded him to partake of her services in a short-time room. He had a wonderful time and was quite satisfied with the experience.

The next evening, Earl planned to return to the Honey Bar and reconnect with the lady from the previous night. She told him that “she really liked” him and hoped that he would return. First, though, he decided to stroll around the area and happened upon a long street called Soi Twilight. That lane was ablaze with garish, neon signs, jammed with people, and seemed alive with activity. As he passed by one of the many bars on the soi, a tout informed him that the show was just about to begin. Although Earl was a little apprehensive about entering a bar called Future Boys, he was intrigued and let himself be ushered to a table. While he didn’t, by any means, consider himself a prude, Earl was pretty shocked by the raunchy events unfolding on the stage. Not that he was unhappy, mind you; just a bit taken aback. The fact that he was watching and enjoying a boy show didn’t upset him at all. After all, it was dark and who would be the wiser?

During the performance, a young man named Pan, who had starred in the “candle show,” sat down next to Earl. After the usual introductions, Earl offered Pan a drink and he, of course, accepted. When the show was over, and the go-go boys took to the stage, Pan asked Earl if he liked massages. Earl considered a good massage akin to going to heaven and enthusiastically replied in the affirmative. Pan explained that the bar had rooms upstairs for that purpose and Earl indicated that this seemed like a fine idea. However, he was disappointed when Pan asked him who of the boys onstage he’d like for his “masseur.” When Earl replied that he had been under the impression that Pan would do the honors, Pan was happy to accommodate him.
In the “massage” room, Pan provided Earl with a wonderful massage, which resulted in Earl’s feeling relaxed all over and at one with the world. Then, Pan turned down the lights, and massaged the only part of his body that had previously been neglected. It took no time at all for Earl to respond to Pan’s erotic touch. Noticing the effect that his sexual charms had on Earl, Pan stopped what he was doing and gave Earl a big, affectionate hug. He asked Earl if he could kiss him. Figuring that they were in a private room, he readily agreed. As Earl loved kissing almost as much as he loved massage, he was hooked. Although he had never kissed a man before, he took to it quickly. Two happy endings later, Earl was exhausted and happy and off to his hotel.

Earl and Pan spent the remainder of Earl’s weeklong vacation together. Their friendship sustained over the years and they got together whenever Earl came back to Thailand to visit. He considered Pan a real find as he never asked him for anything other than what Earl offered him. They lost touch a couple of years ago, but Earl is hopeful that they will run into each other one of these days.

In the meantime, Earl has made his home in the Land of Smiles. He’s had his share of relationships with beautiful, Thai young men. Never looking back, he’s making up for all the years he spent as a heterosexual.
