Koh Samui News - Issue # 44 - Koh Samui

A note from a successful, gay business:

The Samui gay scene IS different to the rest of Thailand and we work to keep it that way. Not only do we want it to be different but it needs to be different as so much of the gay scene in the rest of Thailand is formula copycat. But Samui still has a long way to go. When we wrote our business plan seven years ago our research showed a different profile for gays visiting Samui to say BKK, Pattaya, and Phuket but a little closer to that for those visiting Chiang Mai, and our subsequent on-the-ground experience has proven the profile was spot on:

Predominately couples (swingers, yes, but mostly not), 30-40 years of age, professional, well educated, extensively travelled, more interested in cultural tourism, food, and relaxing, but also a lot f FIT Asians—HK, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, India—and they are a significant part of our business which is why we put more effort into marketing to them than we actively do to the European market.

We are looking for two new full time, gay Thai masseurs, Restaurants and Entertainment:

Top end (evening dining):

|www.juzzapizza.com) in Fisherman’s Village, Bophut. Turn  right as you come onto the beach road in front of the pier; lovely atmosphere.

Restaurants with a View:

• Santi Buri Golf Course is not only for people with small balls. The restaurant is  open to everyone for lunch or afternoon tea (not evenings). The view is spec tacular, the directions are well sign-posted from the main road in Mae Nam.

 • BBC Restaurant Stands for Big Buddha Café and it is easy to find next to the famous Big Buddha temple. Great sunsets and drinks in the early evening plus great selection of western and Thai food all night.

 Cabaret with Attitude

• One of the best cabaret shows Starz Cabaret located inside Khun Chaweng  shopping arcade at the north end of the Chaweng Beach Road.

Live Jazz and Blues

• Every Sunday night local and ex-pat musicians get together at the Tropical Garden Lounge, Mae Nam.

Mediumwww.sixsenses.com/Six-Senses-Hideaway- Samui/index.php) – the restaurant is named “Dining on the Rocks,” • Bellini Restaurant, Italian, South Chaweng, good place.

• Poppies Restaurant – in Chaweng; pretentious and pricy, but a nice garden.

• Five Islands Restaurant – seafood, south of Chaweng, on the beach in Baan Taling Ngam.

Low End (does not mean cheap or scruffy, just less formal)

• Juzza Pizza 2 ( immediate start. Prefer experienced qualified masseurs as we do not provide sex massage. Good pay + tips + commission. Emerald Green Samui: info@emeraldgreensamui.com
